There are up to 5 different tariffs for Israel consumers of natural gas: the purchase price of the natural gas by the consumer from one of the natural gas producers/suppliers (see table below); the transmission tariff which is composed of the actual flow tariff in the transmission system + the capacity tariff in the transmission system, the one-time cost of linking up to the natural gas distribution network and the distribution tariff.
Natural gas liquids recovery refers to the process of removing and gathering propane, butane and other heavier hydrocarbon products from natural gas. The process is often used to reduce a gas stream’s BTU value to meet pipeline tariff requirements while removing excess liquids that may condense and cause problems in transmission. The liquids are recovered as a y-grade mix that is accumulated in a tank on site and later trucked to a refinery for fractionation into its saleable hydrocarbon components. The end result is a gas stream that meets pipeline quality standards with the benefit of a by-product which provides additional revenue for the producer
The document that sets out the rules and procedures for third party access to the British pipeline grid and introduced the regime of daily balancing.
The Uniform Network Code is the hub around which the competitive gas industry revolves, comprising a legal and contractual framework to supply and transport gas. It has a common set of rules for all industry players which ensure that competition can be facilitated on level terms. Network Code in the UK came into effect in March 1996 after two years of negotiation between Transco and the shippers and is in effect a set of business rules within a legal framework defining the rights and obligations of Transco and Shippers and forming the basis of all contracts between them
Natural gas is a fossil fuel whose main component is methane-CH4. Cooking gas is mainly composed of propane and butane and is the product of oil refinery. Natural gas has a heating value of about 1000 BTU per (gaseous) cubic foot while propane has a heating value of 2500 BTU
Natural bitumen is the portion of petroleum that exists in the semi-solid or solid phase in natural deposits. In its natural state it usually contains sulfur, metals and other non-hydrocarbons. Natural Bitumen has a viscosity greater than 10,000 centipoises measured at original temperature in the deposit and atmospheric pressure, on a gas free basis. In its natural viscous state, it is not normally recoverable at commercial rate through a well. Natural Bitumen generally requires upgrading prior to normal refining
