Three different types of storage for crude oil: aboveground storage tanks that can contain from 100,000 to 1,000,000 barrels of crude; underground storage tanks (oil caverns) that contain dozens of million of tons and floating storage tanks that can contain 2-3 million barrels. There is serious lack of storage facilities around the world around the world.
