Namely medium term (as of 2009) there is a cycle of supply and demand imbalances in a lot of the energy markets, including the LNG market, with plenty of fuel likely to be available for several years, including enough fuel for LNG regasification plants, as new projects come onstream. But unless more production are given the go-ahead soon, it will lead to a marked yo-yoing cycle of supply and demand imbalances and lack of supply within very few years

A supply contract is generally not related to a particular reservoir and the ACQ for each year of the contract life is agreed from the start (as opposed to a depletion contract)
