Approximately 50% of the electricity consumption of the various plants located at the Hadera site is provided by an independent power co-generation plant that was established and is operated by the division. The ability to exploit steam pressure differentials enables the division to generate electricity at a cost that is considerably lower than the cost of purchasing electricity.
